D23 2022 Coverage: Thunderbolts Revealed

During Marvel’s D23 panel, Kevin Feige revealed the lineup for their upcoming movie, “Thunderbolts”. Feige described that while the Avengers are no longer a prominent force in the MCU at the moment, there is another super team at work. This team is called the Thunderbolts. Concept art was revealed which includes Ghost, Red Guardian, Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, US Agent, Taskmaster and Val. Julia Louis-Dreyfus will most likely be the Nick Fury/Amanda Waller leader of the group.

The team appears to have a main focus on super soldiers/spies. The lineup gives off major Suicide Squad vibes.

While it would’ve been more interesting if the lineup included characters such Baron Zemo, Red Hulk, or even Bullseye, we will just have to trust that this team will be worth it and spice up the MCU.

“Thunderbolts” is set to hit theaters July 26th, 2024.
