D23 2022 Coverage: Fantastic 4, Fantastic Disappointment

During Marvel’s D23 panel, Kevin Feige quickly glossed over the upcoming “Fantastic Four” movie. He confirmed that director of “WandaVision”, Matt Shakman, will be directing the film. This was reported before D23 by multiple news sources but wasn’t confirmed until this past weekend during the panel. Unfortunately, neither the cast nor any more details about the plot were revealed. This was Marvel’s chance to blow everyone away at D23 with the announcement of Marvel’s first family but they dropped the ball. Many fans were just plain expecting the reveal of the new Reed, Ben, Johnny, Sue and maybe even Victor but it looks like we won’t see who’s playing these fantastic characters for a little while. Maybe Feige is saving this reveal for the next D23, but until then fans will need to be patient.

“Fantastic Four” is set to hit theaters on November 8th, 2024.
