During the D23 Star Wars Panel, Dave Filoni dropped the first trailer for “Tales of the Jedi”. The series is set to consist of six animated shorts all within Clone Wars style. The trailer teases two main arcs of stories. The first shows Count Dooku and how he slowly turns to the dark side. He is also accompanied by Mace Windu and a young Qui-Gon Jinn who are the ones trying to hold him back from his shift to evil. The second arc shown appears to be about Ahsoka growing up and learning how to be a proper Jedi. We see baby Ahsoka and her being selected to join the Jedi order. Then we see Anakin training Ahsoka to defend herself against a circle of clones. This is a nod to how she was able to defend herself during Order 66 and survive compared to other Jedi companions. Finally, we see Ahsoka squaring off against a very intimidating and bad-ass looking inquisitor. The teaser was incredible and definitely has me excited for this upcoming series of animated shorts. “Tales of the Jedi” will be streaming all six episodes October 26th on Disney Plus.
