“Andor” debuted its fifth episode and slowed down the momentum for a lackluster episode. This episode was more of an anticipation building episode for the infiltration that is yet to come in Andor’s team suicide mission. While we get a little more character background for the team, nothing notable nor interesting happens during the episode.
There was so much anticipation for this constantly teased action sequence only for it not to happen and when the episode ends a feeling of disappointment. We see a little more of Mothma’s personal life but during the episode you start to question why this is important to the story. Syril gets a mini story which teases that he will hunt down Andor on his own to restore his reputation.
Finally the episode ends with Luthen worried about the fate of Andor and his team. While the episode was meant to be more character building, it fell flat and was difficult to keep the audience’s attention.
Episode five is 5/10.
