The virtual event, DC Fandome, will not be happening this year. DC released a statement saying, “With the return of in person events, Warner Bros. Discovery is excited to be able to engage with our fans live at numerous comic-cons around the world and will not be scheduling DC FanDome for 2022.” This statement could indicate that DC Fandome will no longer happen for a long time as long as issues such as COVID-19 keep away. However, this cancellation could be just for this year. Given all the DC film delays and major changes happening between Warner Brothers Discovery and DC, there is not much to show or be advertised. Their financial problems alone could be a major factor for not being able to put the virtual experience together. It is unfortunate that DC Fandome will not occur as the first two were a great success. Fans can only hope that when the dust settles from all the internal changes, that things such as DC Fandome will return better than ever.
