Marvel Studios Has Found Its Wonder Man

Marvel Studios has been in active development of a Disney Plus series surrounding the character of Wonder Man.

While the series has not been officially announced by Marvel yet, Deadline has confirmed the show is moving forward and picking its cast. Deadline confirmed they have found their Simon Williams in Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Mateen is already very experienced in the comic book genre, better known for his roles in “Aquaman” as Black Manta and “Watchmen” as Dr. Manhattan. Simon Williams/Wonder Man is both a superhero and actor in Marvel comics. Deadline also confirmed not too long ago that Ben Kingsley would be returning as Trevor Slattery in the series, which is very fitting as the character is also an actor.

Given how good Mateen’s comic book portrayals have already been in the past, we look forward to seeing what he brings to the MCU.
