The CW just released the first trailer for the upcoming season of “Superman and Lois”.
While short, the teaser gave insight into the serious tone of the upcoming story with Lois possibly being pregnant and kidnapped. Tension is going to brew between Superman and Sam Lane as they are both looking for their family member in their own way. One amazing shot in the trailer shows Lois underneath the Daily Planet as it’s collapsing with Superman racing to save her. While we don’t know who this season’s antagonist is yet, this shot displays the stakes have been raised with the Daily Planet being demolished.
We also see brief glimpses of Michael Bishop as Jon Kent replacing Jordan Elsass. We are curious to see if Bishop will add a new spin to the role or continue playing the way Elsass did previously.
One of the best parts of the trailer showed off Superman’s improved costume. In prior seasons the Superman suit felt a little muted and dull so fans took to social media to voice their criticisms. The costume designers listened and responded with a much more defined and better looking costume for the Man of Steel.
Superman and Lois is currently one of the best DC shows on air so expectations for this upcoming season are high. The first episode of season three will premiere Tuesday, March 14th on the CW.
